Who We Are and What We Do
Cassidy Animal Care is a two-person (husband and wife) team: Dr. Sharon Capone, Veterinarian, and Richard Gries, business administrator and technical assistant.
After nine years in the clinic on Newark Pompton Turnpike in Pompton Plains, we decided to take a new approach to pet care. We now see our patients in our mobile clinic, offering the convenience of home service.
While the facility itself is fully equipped and modern, the approach is rather old-fashioned. We have known most of our patients for years, and they are used to our personal attention. The home environment makes it even more personal. Family members and neighbors often pop their heads in, or help transport pets to and from the house. New clients are usually surprised at how comfortable the setup is.
The animals themselves seem more comfortable, as well. With no car ride or waiting room, most are less anxious. They can see their front yards through the windows. Some clients return the pets to the house
while their invoice is being prepared.
While travel time limits the number of calls we can make in a day, we have no set hours, and we do our best to accommodate each situation. We reserve some time each day for sick calls, so your pet can be seen promptly. When you leave a message on our voice mail, you get a call back from Dr. Capone as soon as possible.
In an emergency or crisis, we may meet you at Pequannock Animal Hospital or come directly to you, whichever is most efficacious. See "After Hours Info" for evening and weekend coverage.
Most medications are dispensed at the time of your pet's appointment. For refillable medications, we offer home delivery (see "Pharmacy Store") or a prescription can be given for dispensing at a pharmacy or
animal hospital.
We accept all established pet health insurance plans. If you are enrolled in a plan, please bring your claim forms with you at the time of the appointment.
Overall, the response from pet owners has been very positive. We appreciate the support and enthusiasm of all our friends, old and new! |
